Oliver Garcia claims Dominican Rep. LDC Hoops Agents weekly honour

Oliver Garcia (188-G-1996, agency: Ballerz Unlimited LLC) had a great game in the last round for league's leader Immortals and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 25-year old guard had the game-high 25 points adding five rebounds and six assists for Immortals in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Los Pepines (#6, 0-6), the league's bottom-ranked team 101-99. It allowed Immortals to consolidate first place in the Dominican Rep. LDC. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Immortals already had a very good start winning all 6 without losing a single one. Garcia has many years of experience at Immortals, through which he has constantly improved. Garcia has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (5th best: 22.8ppg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Adris Rodriguez (202-C/F-1982) of Capitanes. Rodriguez impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Capitanes was edged by slightly higher-ranked Santiago Max (#4, 3-3) 109-106. Capitanes managed to keep the same 5th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 2-4 record. Rodriguez is one of the most experienced players at Capitanes and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Richard Polanco (203-F-1998) of Los Pepines (#6). Polanco scored 20 points and grabbed ten rebounds. Despite Polanco's great performance Los Pepines lost 99-101 to the league's current leader Immortals (#1, 6-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Los Pepines can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 6 games. Polanco has individually a great season in Dominican Republic. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.7ppg (8th best) and rebounds with 6.7rpg (6th best).
